The Road

I started out seeing "The Road" at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema a few weeks ago with my good friend, lets call him "Frarwr". We were a bit late getting in, and he ran to the bathroom. I had the ticket but did not realize that it was playing in two theatres, so I went into theare 3 where the movie was playing, and sat by the entrance.

Unfortunately this was just at the last five minutes of the film, where you see someone leaving and then they encounter a famous actor who had a small role as well in (spoiler alert). Another war themed film that came out this year.

Finally I figured out I was in the wrong place and found my friend at the beginning of "The Road".

It is a movie that shows the desolation that some would say is doomed to befall our society. With little hope, the characters at least show that the human struggle is worth taking on, even if the outcome is uncertain.

Also you get to see Vigo Mortensen swimming in some very cold water.
